Bastien Brunson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Margarito Neely, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Absolon Newell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Torrez in the 12th minute of play. Nodales's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Keith Torrez scored to the left of an out of position Absolon Newell, making the score, 1-0. In the 37th minute, Keven Riley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keith Torrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Absolon Newell having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keven Riley to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Nodales's zone, Dusty Hoover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Absolon Newell came out of the goal and Dusty Hoover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Nodales's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Torrez came free, but Absolon Newell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Margarito Neely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Margarito Neely got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
