With a little luck, Toronto FC's Ezra Charron got control of the ball when Eusebio Hurst tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milford Caouette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Elias Xiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Donny Bowman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Xiong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Junior Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Fabien Salgado came free, but Elias Xiong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Junior Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Downs came free, but Elias Xiong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Xiong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milford Caouette, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ezra Charron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dwain Faulk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Junior Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Milford Caouette came free, but Elias Xiong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Fabien Salgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elias Xiong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eusebio Hurst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Milford Caouette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eusebio Hurst came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Junior Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Hurst couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Milford Caouette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eusebio Hurst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Loup Fremont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eusebio Hurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezra Charron having to interfere. Loup Fremont recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebio Hurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezra Charron having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donny Bowman was the one to do the kick off. Eusebio Hurst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Xiong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donny Bowman in the 53rd minute of play. Eusebio Hurst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toronto FC's Ezra Charron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loup Fremont in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Toronto FC's Donny Bowman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Xiong. That made the score 0-2 after 61 minutes of play. In the 64th minute, Loup Fremont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Junior Fc's Elias Xiong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Downs in the 75th minute of play. Elias Xiong made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Milford Caouette sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Dwain Faulk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Junior Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwain Faulk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezra Charron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes Junior Fc got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Hurst. Dwain Faulk might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezra Charron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dwain Faulk ran back to his position shaking his head. After 91 minutes, Noah Battle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto FC and the Junior Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Noah Battle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Junior Fc's Ambrose Boivin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Donny Bowman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elias Xiong, 0-3. Toronto FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
