The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Estevon Abancens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th match minute, Atlético San Alejandro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Merczak to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Sasoin Abascal in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético San Alejandro's George Abechuco. Zé Pedro Medeiros hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Nando Toscano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Rodrigues. The supporters of Escuadrón Mercenario booed when Atlético San Alejandro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sándor Józsa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Abeijon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kartal Namal having to make a save. If Enrique Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nando Toscano was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Nando Toscano was a little too slow when Alexandre Rodrigues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Estevon Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 48 played minutes Escuadrón Mercenario got a freekick which was hit by Sasoin Abascal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Rodrigues made a kick off. Nando Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Alexandre Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Nando Toscano. Escuadrón Mercenario's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Rodrigues in the 57th minute of play forced Escuadrón Mercenario's goalkeeper Nando Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estevon Abancens got free with Kartal Namal in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute Alexandre Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético San Alejandro's Kartal Namal got control of the ball when Ramiro Messias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético San Alejandro's zone, Enrique Abeijon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kartal Namal came out of the goal and Enrique Abeijon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Escuadrón Mercenario's Peli Abalos was substituted for Enrique Abeijon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estevon Abancens got free with Kartal Namal in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute of the match, Peli Abalos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kartal Namal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alexandre Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nando Toscano having to make a save. 94 minutes into the match, Alexandre Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nando Toscano. Escuadrón Mercenario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Atlético San Alejandro were victorious despite being under pressure from Escuadrón Mercenario for much of the match.
