Astigar Bolinaga was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Sebastiano Miñaca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. If Elia Belon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascual Cervera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentim Estremiana's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Mercedes's Valentim Estremiana in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Topador's goalie prevented a goal. Elia Belon struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Pascual Cervera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercedes. Sotil Gadano's late challenge caught a Mercedes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sotil Gadano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Tabor Alison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Topador's zone, Elia Belon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Cervera came out of the goal and Elia Belon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Topador's Pascual Cervera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Belon in the 42nd minute of play. Astigar Bolinaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Garizabal's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elia Belon made a kick off. Valentim Estremiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Oton Villamizar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pascual Cervera. Topador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oton Villamizar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The supporters of Topador booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xamin Casadevante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastiano Miñaca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astigar Bolinaga having to interfere. Mercedes's Elia Belon got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Topador's goalkeeper Pascual Cervera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Horado Puget charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horado Puget the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Topador booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horado Puget didn't get a good kick on the ball.
