Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xurde Callon started the match with the kick off. Hipolito Arandia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Fidensio Orbiz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Riffo's Fidensio Orbiz got control of the ball when Hipolito Arandia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Cardona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Garcia to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Riffo's Umea Lambaria tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Montxo Messia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Muriedas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cardona's Genaro Garcia got a free kick in the 17th minute. Camilo Muriedas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xurde Callon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Hipolito Arandia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Muriedas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Montxo Messia in the 26th minute of the match. Hipolito Arandia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fidensio Orbiz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Camilo Muriedas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Montxo Messia's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When Oton Puellas fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riffo's protests and gave Oton Puellas a yellow card for diving instead. Montxo Messia kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Hipolito Arandia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fidensio Orbiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Fausto Quizan fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riffo's protests and gave Fausto Quizan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Riffo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Fausto Quizan hit a great ball. Bernat Simon succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernat Simon was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cardona's Leon Salmeron got a free kick in the 55th minute. With his leg Camilo Muriedas managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Riffo's Montxo Messia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Arandia in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidensio Orbiz saved Riffo from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cardona's zone, Montxo Messia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Muriedas came out of the goal and Montxo Messia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidensio Orbiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Arandia in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70thth minute of the game Hipolito Arandia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riffo's Fidensio Orbiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fidensio Orbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernat Simon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Riffo's goal looked a bit too open when Bernat Simon came free, but Fidensio Orbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernat Simon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Fidensio Orbiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Hipolito Arandia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidensio Orbiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Cardona's Camilo Muriedas got control of the ball when Montxo Messia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Pueblo Cervilla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fidensio Orbiz skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Riffo defense, Genaro Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidensio Orbiz. The Riffo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidensio Orbiz should have stopped the shot. If Xurde Callon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Riffo's Fidensio Orbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernat Simon in the 96th minute of play. Montxo Messia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Muriedas having to interfere. Genaro Garcia hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
