But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esquipula Esquivias couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Apolo Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suarez AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Abeita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Indalecio Tello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Indalecio Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esquipula Esquivias in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Lain Carne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordaryal Ebro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cordaryal Ebro had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Lain Carne from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cordaryal Ebro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lain Carne in the 21st minute of play. Suarez AFC's Esquipula Esquivias got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Suarez AFC's Cordaryal Ebro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lain Carne in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lain Carne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cordaryal Ebro was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Jon Villascuerna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Indalecio Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indalecio Tello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esquipula Esquivias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Resto Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Cordaryal Ebro made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Suarez AFC's goalkeeper Cordaryal Ebro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Resto Marquez.

When Peruanton Icedo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Canelones1993's protests and gave Peruanton Icedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Suarez AFC booed when C.A.Canelones1993 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peruanton Icedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Lain Carne put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cordaryal Ebro. If Caio Igay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salamon Cubillas hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Esquipula Esquivias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Indalecio Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indalecio Tello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esquipula Esquivias in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the C.A.Canelones1993 defense, Jon Villascuerna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Indalecio Tello. The C.A.Canelones1993 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Indalecio Tello should have stopped the shot. The C.A.Canelones1993 fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when C.A.Canelones1993's Lain Carne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C.A.Canelones1993 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
