Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Zanette to make the kick off. When Gualter de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fagundes SC's protests and gave Gualter de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Peres couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Fagundes SC's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Peres came free, but Jaime Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fagundes SC's Jaime Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Peres in the 94th minute of play. Jaime Favoretto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio Peres went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Paulina fully deserved thier win.
