Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Paulo Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luisinho Fernandez came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Pinda's Sandro Pimenta. But to his dismay, Sandro Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Machado in the 55th minute of play forced Pinda's goalkeeper Roger Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Pinda's Manfredo Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisinho Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Formiga Acreana getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Diogo Paraibano hit a great ball. Manfredo Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Zeca Meireles hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Enrique Pires made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Formiga Acreana's Luisinho Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Donatello during the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Manfredo Diniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Pinda players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
