The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pinda's Enrique Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorian Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When Pinda's Manfredo Diniz in 10 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vivaldo Correia guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 12th match minute, Pinda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Gugu Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Manfredo Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Róbson Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Caririacu AD's zone, Manfredo Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Correia came out of the goal and Manfredo Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorian Peixoto's late challenge caught a Pinda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorian Peixoto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caririacu AD's Dorian Peixoto got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Manfredo Diniz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Pinda's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gugu Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Brasil having to interfere. Pinda's Roger Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Carioca in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pinda's Enrique Pires got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Caririacu AD's goalkeeper Vivaldo Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Pires. Vivaldo Correia came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinda's Enrique Pires. But to his dismay, Enrique Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Vivaldo Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Pires in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caririacu AD's zone, Manfredo Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Correia came out of the goal and Manfredo Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, Caririacu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Enrique Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Correia was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The supporters of Pinda booed when Caririacu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Caririacu AD getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Zeca Carioca hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Manfredo Diniz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Pinda were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Caririacu AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cesinha Soeiro took the corner. Enrique Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that Pinda were the better team. Pinda's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
