The referee ignored Caririacu AD's protests and gave Róbson Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Caririacu AD got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Magalhães. Cafu Carvalho spun around in front of the goal 52 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Caririacu AD's goal. José Paulo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the game, one of Caririacu AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vivaldo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Caririacu AD's zone, José Paulo Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Correia came out of the goal and José Paulo Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caririacu AD's goalkeeper Vivaldo Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If José Paulo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. José Paulo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 played minutes Caririacu AD got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Magalhães. Vivaldo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Carvalho in the 96th minute of the match.
