In the 9thth minute of the game Walmyr Proença who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vermelho EC's Oséas Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Tutoya SS's goalkeeper Waldemar Souto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeca Fernandes. Alfredo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséas Costa having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, João Adolfo Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vermelho EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tutoya SS the free kick. In the 16th minute, João Adolfo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes of play, Tutoya SS's Walmyr Proença made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oséas Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oséas Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tutoya SS's zone, Luiz Gustavo Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Souto came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes, Walmyr Proença mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tutoya SS and the Vermelho EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Tutoya SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Proença to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Neves in the 28th minute of play forced Tutoya SS's goalkeeper Waldemar Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséas Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute, Luisinho Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséas Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Walmyr Proença scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oséas Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luisinho Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Tutoya SS's Luisinho Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oséas Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.

Walmyr Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséas Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience held their breath when Antônio Carlos Guedes in the 59th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Oséas Costa's left hand side. A collision led to Vermelho EC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. João Adolfo Neves hit a great ball. Walmyr Proença struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Oséas Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tutoya SS. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmyr Proença in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oséas Costa saved Vermelho EC from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, Vermelho EC's goalkeeper Oséas Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisinho Valladares. Oséas Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Vermelho EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Walmyr Proença 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. If Walmyr Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeca Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Souto having to interfere. Luisinho Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Oséas Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Bueno during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Anselmo Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Vermelho EC's Oséas Costa got control of the ball when Luisinho Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Vermelho EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tutoya SS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
