The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Virgílio Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute Virgílio Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jaguarandi booed when Old Golden Boys FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Meira scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Duda Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Jaguarandi getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Armando Cabral hit a great ball. Virgílio Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 26 minutes, Virgílio Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Golden Boys FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Jaguarandi's Waldemar Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duda Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Waldemar Pinheiro took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duda Paranaense. Duda Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 35 played minutes Jaguarandi got a freekick which was hit by Armando Cabral. In the 37th minute, Jaguarandi's Hélio Meira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Duda Paranaense. Duda Paranaense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Meira in the 40th minute of play forced Old Golden Boys FC's goalkeeper Duda Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Waldemar Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duda Paranaense. Old Golden Boys FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélio Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Old Golden Boys FC defense, Hélio Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Paranaense. The Old Golden Boys FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Old Golden Boys FC's Duda Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Meira in the 55th minute of play. Duda Paranaense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldemar Pinheiro went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Duda Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Meira in the 64th minute of play. Duda Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Hélio Meira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Duda Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélio Meira took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duda Paranaense. Duda Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Duda Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Pinheiro in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Waldemar Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaguarandi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. After 79 played minutes Jaguarandi got a freekick which was hit by Armando Cabral. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséias Perez during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Old Golden Boys FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Perez. 84 minutes into the match, Old Golden Boys FC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Pinheiro came free, but Duda Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Pinheiro in the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Hélio Meira notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Old Golden Boys FC's Duda Paranaense. Duda Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jaguarandi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
