Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cleithon Corrente started the match with the kick off. Vito Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th match minute, Botafogo F. R. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, Botafogo F. R. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Damião to maneuver through the defense. After 18 played minutes Palestrinos FC got a freekick which was hit by Magno Linhares. Pedrinho Penha hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Pedrinho Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestrinos FC and the Botafogo F. R. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Palestrinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Penha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Botafogo F. R. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Eliézer Jacinto hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Vito Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cleithon Corrente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 minutes, Adalberto Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botafogo F. R. and the Palestrinos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Palestrinos FC booed when Botafogo F. R. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Botafogo F. R.'s Roberto de Sousa got a free kick in the 54th minute. Natã da Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cleithon Corrente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. A collision led to Palestrinos FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Santana hit a great ball. Cleithon Corrente in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Natã da Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Palestrinos FC's Faustão Cardozo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ediberto Damião hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Vito Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã da Costa having to interfere.
