Pedro Luís Sarmento hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Artur Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juliapolis's Lucas Nogueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Artur Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maguari AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, Jean Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amauri Simão's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Leonardo Veiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucas Nogueira. Juliapolis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Juliapolis's Erik Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Amauri Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Antuness short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Lucas Nogueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pedrão de Senna's late challenge caught a Maguari AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Pedrão de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match, Geovani Galvão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lucas Nogueira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Juliapolis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Váldson Motta was slow to take the kick. During this time Maguari AD's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Maguari AD's Váldson Motta to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucas Nogueira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Waldemar Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Simão in the 32nd minute of play. Waldemar Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Simão in the 36th minute of the match. If Artur Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amauri Simão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waldemar Luz having to make a save.
