João Vítor Zilles might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Mattos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Vítor Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. Paulinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tomás Luz fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pricilio's protests and gave Tomás Luz a yellow card for diving instead. If Gilvan de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Refugio AD got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Penha. In the 23rd minute, Pedrinho Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Refugio AD's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Ceresso came free, but Guilherme Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Pricilio fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Pricilio's Hílton Ceresso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Filipe Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinho Abraão in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Paulinho Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Refugio AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hílton Ceresso made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Refugio AD's Ronaldinho dos Santos got a free kick in the 51st minute. Ronaldinho dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Refugio AD's zone, Hílton Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Gomes came out of the goal and Hílton Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilvan de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Guilherme Gomes made a huge save. João Vítor Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pricilio's Filipe Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Abraão in the 66th minute of play. In the 76th minute João Vítor Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Noel de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Hílton Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guilherme Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Paulinho Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Mattos having to interfere. Pricilio were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Refugio AD's much stronger midfield.
