Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mauro Paraense took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cafu Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafa Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Gramadense's goalkeeper Cafu Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murilo de Barros. 12 minutes into the game, Mauro Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazembe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gramadense the free kick. After 13 played minutes Mazembe got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Paraense. After 14 minutes of play Mazembe's Mauro Paraense was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Mazembe getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mauro Paraense hit a great ball. Arnaldo Vides hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Vides hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Gramadense's Cafu Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Gramadense from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Vides struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cafu Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mazembe. Reynaldo Vides's late challenge caught a Gramadense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Vides helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gramadense booed when Mazembe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Murilo de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazembe's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elder Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugênio de Lara in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Tande saved Mazembe from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

55 minutes into the match, Mazembe's Murilo de Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Rossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Murilo de Barros notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Gramadense's Cafu Rossi. Cafu Rossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murilo de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cafu Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gramadense's Hélder Silva got a free kick in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Murilo de Barros notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gramadense's Cafu Rossi. Cafu Rossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 78th minute, Gabriel Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio de Lara in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mazembe's zone, Hélder Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Tande came out of the goal and Hélder Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elder Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugênio de Lara in the 91st minute. If Eugênio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazembe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
