After having played for 30 minutes, Rodrigo Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iguita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Iguita getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gilmar Favoretto hit a great ball. Andrézinho Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luís Fabiano Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Iguita booed when Mandassaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Allan Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ezequiel Tavares was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Romário Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário Pirani couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Andrézinho Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandassaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrézinho Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrézinho Lopez in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Fabiano Bueno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
