André Luiz Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Lybæk in the 4th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Os Galaticos F.C's Cido Lucas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André Luiz Linares. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Fiori de Medeiros took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for André Luiz Linares to make any attempt to save it. André Luiz Linares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Linus Lybæk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. André Luiz Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gado's André Luiz Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Gado from getting a goal against them. Donato Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Gado's Romário de Azevedo. But to his dismay, Romário de Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Gado's André Luiz Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Gado from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Linus Lybæk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Luiz Linares, 4-1. Linus Lybæk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but André Luiz Linares made a huge save. In the 42nd minute of the match, Cido Lucas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Luiz Linares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 44th minute, José Vítor Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafim Castro was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Gado booed when Os Galaticos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Luiz Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori de Medeiros in the 55th minute of play. André Luiz Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute Cido Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Armandinho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Gado got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Sarmento. André Luiz Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. André Luiz Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anísio Pernambucano in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute Linus Lybæk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Castro succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-2. Os Galaticos F.C's Christian Borges was substituted for Linus Lybæk. A collision led to Os Galaticos F.C getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Linus Lybæk hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Christian Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Luiz Linares. Gado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. André Luiz Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Borges in the 87th minute of play forced Gado's goalkeeper André Luiz Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz Linares came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Os Galaticos F.C's Hermínio Nunes. But to his dismay, Hermínio Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. Os Galaticos F.C made a substitution. Enio do Valle replaced Anísio Pernambucano. André Luiz Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Nunes in the 93rd minute of play. Armandinho Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armandinho Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Armandinho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gado's goalkeeper André Luiz Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Os Galaticos F.C had played much better football throughout.
