After 3 played minutes Mate SC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Hames. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Mesquita in the 4th minute of play forced Mate SC's goalkeeper Jorge Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jorge Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Ladario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Luz to maneuver through the defense. Betinho Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Trancoso in the 14th minute of the match. Rubens Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jorge Gomes made a huge save. Betinho Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Moreira in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Ladario getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Diogo Dante hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Délio Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mate SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betinho Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Jairo Trancoso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ladario's Betinho Hermes. Betinho Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charles Meira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Rubens Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Mate SC's Jorge Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Meira in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mate SC defense, Charles Meira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Gomes. The Mate SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Gomes should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Richard Hames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, Ladario's Rubens Urbano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute, Jairo Trancoso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Betinho Hermes, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 73 minutes, Rubens Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ladario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Ladario's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Trancoso came free, but Betinho Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladario's Charles Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charles Meira went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ladario had won after a very even match.
