The Sipicue fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Sipicue's Flávio Netto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Manicoba! The referee gave Sipicue a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Figueiredo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manicoba's Luís Guilherme Zonta. 0-2. Flávio Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luís Guilherme Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Flávio Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guilherme Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Severo got free with Eriberto Marinho in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Paiva in the 31st minute of play forced Manicoba's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliézer Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer Paiva scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Guilherme Zonta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manicoba's Luís Guilherme Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Netto in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Flávio Netto made a precise shot to the right of Luís Guilherme Zonta. Manicoba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The Manicoba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sipicue were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Eliézer Paiva made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sipicue booed when Manicoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manicoba's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eliézer Paiva 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Osvaldinho de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Manicoba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. Osvaldinho de Carvalho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Sipicue's Eliézer Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Guilherme Zonta. Luís Guilherme Zonta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Luís Guilherme Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sebastião de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manicoba's Luís Guilherme Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Manicoba from getting a goal against them. Sipicue played a much better game than Manicoba and deserved their victory. The Manicoba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
