Conrado Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Vides in the 19th minute of the match. Donato Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes RafaelAndersonWagnerFC got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Borges. 34 minutes into the game, Maracanu's Leonardo Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With 38 minutes on the clock, Víktor Borges commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 38 minutes into the game, one of RafaelAndersonWagnerFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of RafaelAndersonWagnerFC booed when Maracanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, RafaelAndersonWagnerFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Vides came free, but Conrado Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leonardo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Cido Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to RafaelAndersonWagnerFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Válbson Massa hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Cido Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maracanu's Zézinho Porto got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Cido Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracanu's supporters rose to their feet, but Cido Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Maracanu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
