Otávio de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rony Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otávio de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the game, Belmiro Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipanore EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unick FC the free kick. Belmiro Simões hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio de Godoi in the 7th minute of play forced Ipanore EC's goalkeeper Rony Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otávio de Godoi scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rony Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rony Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pires in the 12th minute of play. Rony Maia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otávio de Godoi went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otávio de Godoi in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Maia saved Ipanore EC from getting behind. After 16 minutes, Lucas Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipanore EC and the Unick FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucas Sabóia hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Waldemar Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ipanore EC's zone, Otávio de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Maia came out of the goal and Otávio de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Waldemar Pires came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Unick FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Pires couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Unick FC booed when Ipanore EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hudson Alagoano fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 30th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Pires in the 32nd minute of play forced Ipanore EC's goalkeeper Rony Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldemar Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Conrado Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61stth minute of the game Waldemar Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipanore EC's Rony Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st match minute, Ipanore EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Waldemar Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Nelson Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unick FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otávio de Godois short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Rony Maia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Otávio de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Rony Maia made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Unick FC's Nelson Ferreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rony Maia. Rony Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Rony Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Pires's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Arruda in the 80th minute of play forced Ipanore EC's goalkeeper Rony Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Maia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nelson Ferreira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 82 minute of play. With his leg Rony Maia managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Unick FC's Conrado Arruda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ipanore EC's Rony Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ipanore EC from getting a goal against them. Rony Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Pires's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ipanore EC's zone, Nelson Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Maia came out of the goal and Nelson Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. Otávio de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Maia having to interfere. Unick FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
