The goal made the score 1-0. 2-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Franklin da Cunha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Anselmo Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Marumbe AD's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklin da Cunha. 16 minutes into the match, Marumbe AD's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo do Valle came free, but Pedro Luiz Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Tony Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marumbe AD's Pedro Luiz Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Marumbe AD from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo do Valle struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Luiz Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capecu SS. After a rather tough play, Marumbe AD's Tony Mendonça got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Marumbe AD's Pedro Luiz Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Marumbe AD from getting a goal against them. 2-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Zé Pedro Vides elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ronaldão Catarinense hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Pedro Luiz Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Arnaldo do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marumbe AD's Pedro Luiz Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Marumbe AD from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin da Cunha got free with Pedro Luiz Travassos in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Arnaldo do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin da Cunha took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luiz Travassos. Pedro Luiz Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Arnaldo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Zé Pedro Vides made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luiz Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Franklin da Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luiz Travassos having to make a save. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marumbe AD's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Travassos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Luiz Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo do Valle in the 58th minute of play. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Franklin da Cunha sped through Marumbe AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luiz Travassos. In the 71st minute, Adrianinho Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Arnaldo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Marumbe AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Elias Moreno sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marumbe AD's Pedro Luiz Travassos didn't even have to move. Pedro Luiz Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Marumbe AD's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin da Cunha came free, but Pedro Luiz Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franklin da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Franklin da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Aguiar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Capecu SS defense, Zé Pedro Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Motta. The Capecu SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Motta should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marumbe AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Capecu SS.
