Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aírton Vides kicked off to start the match. Miguel Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Cirilo's Nicolas Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Alcântara got free with Hélio da Cunha in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cirilo's goalkeeper Miguel Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Téo Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Miguel Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Aírton Vides made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Dantas. Cirilo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tomé Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicolas Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Tomé Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cirilo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomé Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Téo Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio da Cunha having to interfere. With a little luck, Cirilo's Miguel Dantas got control of the ball when Téo Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomé Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Vides in the 79th minute of play. When Reinaldo Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cirilo's protests and gave Reinaldo Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cirilo! Agenor Medeiros's late challenge caught a Freguesia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agenor Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Freguesia booed when Cirilo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agenor Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Téo Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freguesia's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aírton Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dantas having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Freguesia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
