Romário Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Raphael Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Romário Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediberto de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Victor de Andrade reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tales Martins. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Palmelo FC's Romário Cruz got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Palmelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor de Andrade came free, but Tales Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Victor de Andrade fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Romário Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisinho Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto de Senna charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ediberto de Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Palmelo FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ediberto de Senna hit a great ball. Romário Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Vides having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Romário Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diguinho Abreu to make the kick off. Murihe were furious when Jeremias Tróia was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 66 minutes into the game, one of Murihe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ricardo Fonseca placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Luisinho Teixeira sped through Palmelo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tales Martins. Luisinho Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tales Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Palmelo FC's Diguinho Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Abreu in the 93rd minute of play forced Murihe's goalkeeper Raphael Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Abreu in the 96th minute of play. If Romário Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Murihe players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
