Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mangarate's Hermínio Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Teixeira in the 3rd minute of play. Guarau EC's Fernão de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Madureira in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Madureira in the 10th minute of play forced Guarau EC's goalkeeper Álvaro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belmiro do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Álvaro Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mangarate's zone, Fellipe Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Linares came out of the goal and Fellipe Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Linares came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Guarau EC's Fernão de Brito. But to his dismay, Fernão de Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Guarau EC's Osvaldinho Ceresso got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Belmiro do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Belmiro do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Mangarate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Fellipe Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarau EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermínio Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernão de Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fernão de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Álvaro Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belmiro do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Álvaro Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Guarau EC's Fernão de Brito dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Bernardo Madureira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Álvaro Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mangarate. Bernardo Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernão de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermínio Linares having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Fernão de Brito fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 92 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangarate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarau EC the free kick. 94 minutes into the match, Mangarate's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Teixeira came free, but Hermínio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guarau EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
