An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Varela in the 9th minute of play forced ARAPONGAS F.C's goalkeeper Elder Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elder Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes of play, Barros EC's Wesley Vianna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldinho Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Cosme having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Barros EC's Luiz Fernando de Sousa got a free kick in the 29th minute. Luiz Guilherme Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldinho Galvão in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Guilherme Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amauri de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Galvão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Luiz Guilherme Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ARAPONGAS F.C were furious when Orlando Hermes was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in ARAPONGAS F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Wesley Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barros EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Varela in the 47th minute of play forced ARAPONGAS F.C's goalkeeper Elder Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olavo Varela was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the game Olívio Alcântara made a throw-in which Valdo Barreto played forward. ARAPONGAS F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Olavo Varela scored to the left of an out of position Elder Carneiro, making the score, 2-3. Barros EC's Luiz Guilherme Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Galvão in the 59th minute of play. Elder Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 minutes of play, ARAPONGAS F.C's Osvaldinho Galvão made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Guilherme Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! ARAPONGAS F.C's Osvaldinho Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Barros EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Barros EC's Olavo Varela dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. After a rather tough play, Barros EC's José Paulo Cosme got a free kick in the 79th minute. Gerson Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 86 minutes of play, Barros EC's Wesley Vianna made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Galvão notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Barros EC's Luiz Guilherme Cosme. Luiz Guilherme Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute, José Paulo Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barros EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
