Zacarias de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Mathias Chaves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias de Castro. Juarez EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Chaves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Luiz Paulo Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Luzitana AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington da Costa to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Juarez EC's goalkeeper Zacarias de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Vianna. After 44 played minutes Luzitana AD got a freekick which was hit by Renan Pena.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Paulo Xavier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juarez EC's Zacarias de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Vianna in the 52nd minute of play. Luiz Paulo Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Vianna in the 60th minute of play. Zacarias de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Zacarias de Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Chaves went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Juarez EC's Zacarias de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Chaves in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Juarez EC defense, Wilson Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias de Castro. The Juarez EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias de Castro should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Wilson Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zacarias de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilson Vianna's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Luzitana AD's Mathias Chaves got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Juarez EC defense, Wilson Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias de Castro.
