Gláuber Vargas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Horácio Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Donato Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Mazza struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tugurio. Dráusio Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Gerson Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match, Gerson Lopez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Evaristo Cavalcante saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Evaristo Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Lopez in the 44th minute of the match. Horácio Dias's late challenge caught a Jejui AD - U23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Dias helped the player get up and apologised. Horácio Dias hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gláuber Vargas got free with Evaristo Cavalcante in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Jejui AD - U23's Gláuber Vargas in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Dráusio Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Messias shot from long distance in the 66th minute, but Carlos Machado was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 67th minute, Gláuber Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gláuber Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tugurio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Jejui AD - U23. Ediberto Amaral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaristo Cavalcante. 2-0. The supporters of Tugurio booed when Jejui AD - U23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tugurio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
