Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Richard Vander started the match with the kick off. Glauco Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Catarinense in the 7th minute of the match. Glauco Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Wanderson Neto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Simão de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 12th minute of the match André Luís Gerber shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simão de Souza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Chacorore getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jeferson Leite hit a great ball. Richard Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Cerezo having to interfere. Wanderson Neto struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Simão de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caracituba. In the 25th minute Richard Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Celso Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Alves struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Glauco Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacorore. Celso Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Glauco Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão de Souza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After a rather tough play, Chacorore's Ademir Tinoco got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glauco Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jeferson Leite sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Maria Alves in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco Cerezo saved Caracituba from getting behind. Glauco Cerezo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Maria Alves went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Wanderson Neto scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Caracituba's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Caetano Ferraz 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. In the 77th minute Celso Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton Braga hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Tarcisio Marinho from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Glauco Cerezo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. José Maria Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Glauco Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Catarinense in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Alves got free with Glauco Cerezo in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 96 minutes, José Maria Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacorore's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maria Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chacorore played a much better game than Caracituba and deserved their victory. The Caracituba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
