Piassava SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrianinho Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Victor Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piassava SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Adrianinho Pena put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edson Massa. 21 minutes into the match, Piassava SC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Pena came free, but Edson Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Cauã Pombal made a huge save. Valdomiro do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Piassava SC's Victor Cardozo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cauã Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Cauã Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Cardozo in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Victor Cardozo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piassava SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Adrianinho Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Promissao's zone, Victor Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauã Pombal came out of the goal and Victor Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Promissao's Eliseu Leal managed to work through Piassava SC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eliseu Leal dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Adrianinho Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseu Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edson Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Pombal having to interfere. When Ricardinho Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Promissao's protests and gave Ricardinho Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Promissao's Ricardinho Furlan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Adrianinho Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Edson Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victor Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Valdomiro do Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Pombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Adrianinho Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Edson Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Piassava SC had won after a very even match.
