To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Cantori AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto dos Santos came free, but José Vítor Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Jacinto dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, José da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ademar Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. Jacinto dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. José Vítor Paes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metancia. Metancia's Hugo Viana pulled a muscle in his leg after 71 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Vítor Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Metancia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Francisco Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Aloísio Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
