Dedê Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Samuel Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E.Palmeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gama the free kick. 12 minutes into the match, S.E.Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Andrade came free, but Christian Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Sílvio da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breno Andrade in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Lucas saved S.E.Palmeiras from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Paes to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio da Fonseca in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. S.E.Palmeiras's Christian Lucas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. After 57 played minutes S.E.Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Esteves. Gama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frédson Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 77 minutes of play, S.E.Palmeiras's Sílvio da Fonseca made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christian Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Alvarenga in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Abel Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Breno Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Christian Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breno Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Luizinho da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
