An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Cardoso in the 15th minute of play forced Escrivao's goalkeeper Samuel Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Escrivao's Guto de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A well placed Charles Palmeira short distance shot in the 23rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The supporters of Escrivao booed when SAFARI FOOTBALL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Joel Pereira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SAFARI FOOTBALL CLUB's Lúcio Valladares didn't even have to move. 31 minutes into the game, Fabrício Viana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Samuel Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabrício Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Guto de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escrivao's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Palmeira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Chiquinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Escrivao got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Bueno. Fabrício Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Hoffmann having to interfere. Samuel Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Cardoso in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Viana got free with Samuel Hoffmann in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Valladares having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam do Nascimento during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Wiliam do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Lúcio Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Palmeira in the 87th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Joel Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lúcio Valladares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Charles Palmeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Valladares having to make a save. Guto de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Valladares having to interfere. Fabrício Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Samuel Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escrivao's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
