The Sport Club União Capixaba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesinha Campidelis should have stopped the shot. Cesinha Campidelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilvan de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cesinha Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan de Mendonça in the 65th minute of the match. Aníbal Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Aníbal Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Albuquerque was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 74 minutes into the match, Sport Club União Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan de Mendonça came free, but Cesinha Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
