Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Francisco Chaves started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes, Chavantina's Cesinha Abraão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Washington Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chavantina reached it. Armando Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Alves having to interfere. Washington Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Massa in the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Armando Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulisses Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ulisses Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Chaves in the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Leandro Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipueirinha and the Chavantina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Ipueirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Massa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Washington Leão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Luiz Fernando Massa came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Chavantina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Massa couldn't finish the play. Armando Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ulisses Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chavantina getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Trancoso hit a great ball. Jeremias Linares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Washington Leão made a huge save. Washington Leão made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jeremias Linares sent off a good shot on target. Ipueirinha's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luiz Fernando Massa 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After the first half Ipueirinha were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Francisco Chaves might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses Alves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Francisco Chaves ran back to his position shaking his head. Washington Leão came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Chavantina's Luiz Fernando Massa. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Massa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 64th minute, Bruno Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Guilherme Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Ipueirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Quirino to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Celso Pimenta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Washington Leão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Chavantina booed when Ipueirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Luiz Fernando Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 76 minutes, João Francisco Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipueirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fernando Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Leão having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jeremias Linares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Washington Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Rafael Souza hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ipueirinha's zone, Luiz Fernando Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Leão came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ipueirinha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chavantina.
