Carlinhos Penha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Arlindo Vianna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. UY SCUTI's Claudinei Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton de Alcântara in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Piranga FC's Luisão Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão Azevedo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in UY SCUTI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! UY SCUTI:s Claudinei Velasco showed great skill when he stopped Cícero Teles:s penalty. In the 25th minute of the match, Carlinhos Penha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arlindo Vianna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton de Alcântara in the 27th minute of play forced UY SCUTI's goalkeeper Claudinei Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamílton de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Velasco having to interfere. Luisão Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Velasco having to interfere. Carlinhos Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arlindo Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Piranga FC booed when UY SCUTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute, Hamílton de Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamílton de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Piranga FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton de Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Arósio in the 55th minute of play forced Piranga FC's goalkeeper Arlindo Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, UY SCUTI's Claudinei Velasco got control of the ball when Luisão Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Tibúrcio Almeida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinei Velasco, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Piranga FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
