With a little luck, Marari FC's Nilson de Toledo got control of the ball when Vítor Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gino Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Marari FC's goalkeeper Nilson de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Hoffmann. After having played for 25 minutes, Jorge Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Sena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilson de Toledo. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Vítor Hoffmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Nilson de Toledo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Nilson de Toledo managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Gilboes's Vítor Hoffmann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 41 minutes into the game, Lúcio Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marari FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gilboes the free kick. The supporters of Gilboes booed when Marari FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson de Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Hoffmann in the 42nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Cearense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilboes's Gino Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Cearense in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes, Inácio da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gilboes and the Marari FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilboes's Gino Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Cearense in the 59th minute of play. Juarês Mendes's late challenge caught a Gilboes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juarês Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marari FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Juarês Mendes hit a great ball. Vítor Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard de Queirós succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Kléber Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nilson de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Vítor Hoffmann scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilson de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Edgard de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Gilboes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Vítor Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 98thth minute of the game Edgard de Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marari FC's Nilson de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gilboes had won after a very even match.
