Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Edgard Hermes made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 minutes, Charles Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pompeu SS and the Maragassume players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Pompeu SS got a freekick which was hit by Charles Melo. Genílson Rodrigues hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Pompeu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Hermes came free, but Frédson Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pompeu SS's Aníbal Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16th play minutes Aníbal Brodel shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Yuri Silveira and just under the crossbar into goal. 20 minutes into the match, Pompeu SS's goalkeeper Frédson Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Neto. Edgard Hermes struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Frédson Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maragassume. Edgar Neto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Frédson Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Yuri Silveira came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Pompeu SS's Aníbal Brodel. But to his dismay, Aníbal Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Delfim Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armandinho Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aníbal Brodel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuri Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Pompeu SS's Armandinho Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Aníbal Brodel notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Maragassume's Yuri Silveira. Yuri Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Brodel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulinho Soares hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Pompeu SS's Armandinho Mesquita was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Yuri Silveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Yuri Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Brodel in the 61st minute of play. With his leg Yuri Silveira managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Pompeu SS's Armandinho Mesquita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yuri Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aníbal Brodel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 69 minute of play. Yuri Silveira made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Armandinho Mesquita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Brodel in the 76th minute of play forced Maragassume's goalkeeper Yuri Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Armandinho Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Maragassume's zone, Aníbal Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Silveira came out of the goal and Aníbal Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st play minute Armandinho Mesquita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Yuri Silveira. 0-7. Pompeu SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
