The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Aracu's Carlos Augusto Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateus Brasil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mateus Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Falcão in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peripiri EC's Albertinho Miranda got a free kick in the 16th minute. Renatinho Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Augusto Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Brasil having to interfere. After 35 minutes of play, Peripiri EC's Evandro das Neves made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilton Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Augusto Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateus Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Falcão in the 40th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Falcão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateus Brasil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Falcão hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to Peripiri EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Michel de Queiroz hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Renatinho Palmeira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Carlos Augusto Falcão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus Brasil was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When Peripiri EC's Evandro das Neves in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aracu's goalie prevented a goal. Mateus Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertinho Miranda hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Alessandro Eger walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Renatinho Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renatinho Palmeira got free with Mateus Brasil in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
