If Selmi Sayıl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Criciuma got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme de Toledo. When Selmi Sayıl came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the F.C FREITAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selmi Sayıl couldn't finish the play. F.C FREITAS's Selmi Sayıl got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selmi Sayıl in the 28th minute of play forced Criciuma's goalkeeper Álvaro Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy de Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro Coutinho having to make a save. Zé de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Coutinho having to interfere. Zé de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Álvaro Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C FREITAS. Álvaro Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Nikodemski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percy de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Coutinho having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Percy de Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Álvaro Coutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute, Cristiano das Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Criciuma players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C FREITAS were winning 0-2.
The supporters of F.C FREITAS booed when Criciuma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball.
