A collision led to Acaiaca getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Alex Peixoto hit a great ball. When Caetano Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Acaiaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Gomes couldn't finish the play. Caetano Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conta Inativa's Leonel de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Peixoto in the 21st minute of play. Lúcio Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Gomes got free with Leonel de Senna in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 26 minutes, Angelo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conta Inativa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Gomes in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acaiaca's goalkeeper Belmiro de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Acaiaca got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Moraes. 39 minutes into the match, Acaiaca's Alex Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel de Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Peixoto might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Peixoto ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Acaiaca's zone, Angelo Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro de Almeida came out of the goal and Angelo Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Acaiaca getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Narciso Vinhas hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Conta Inativa's corner Umberto Bertassi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Belmiro de Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. In the 58th minute, Caetano Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Pontes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 71 played minutes Betão Meireles rounded Acaiaca's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Conta Inativa's Leonel de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Gomes in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match Claudinho Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel de Senna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Conta Inativa got a freekick which was hit by Benê Almeida. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Fernando Moraes in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Belmiro de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Alex Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Acaiaca were awarded a corner. Alan Pontes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alan Pontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonel de Senna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Conta Inativa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Conta Inativa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
