Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alex Peixoto got the match started through his kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Dorian Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acaiaca the free kick. Reynaldo Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Peixoto in the 4th minute of play. Acaiaca's Belmiro de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Aparecido in the 8th minute of play. Reynaldo Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Flamengo's Ademir Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belmiro de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alex Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Trevisan got free with Belmiro de Almeida in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Quirino. Acaiaca's Belmiro de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Aparecido in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Caetano Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Reynaldo Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Caetano Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Enio Botelho from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Belmiro de Almeida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Flamengo's Reynaldo Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Reynaldo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmiro de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Aparecido in the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Acaiaca's goalkeeper Belmiro de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Trevisan. Ademir Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ademir Aparecido took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Belmiro de Almeida. Belmiro de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Belmiro de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Trevisan in the 55th minute of the match. Kaká de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Falcão de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Loyola having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Acaiaca's Reynaldo Loyola threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alex Peixoto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Acaiaca's Belmiro de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Trevisan in the 73rd minute of play. Flamengo's Reynaldo Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belmiro de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Flamengo were the better team. Flamengo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
