When Mário de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ubirataia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Augusto Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dênis Rezende was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Arrinha's Eugênio Pitta got a free kick in the 25th minute. Dênis Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Fantini in the 43rd minute of the match. Anselmo de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dênis Rezende having to make a save.

After a rather tough play, Arrinha's Claudinho Passos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Guilherme Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dênis Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Eugênio Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Fantini in the 68th minute of play. Arrinha's Guilherme Fantini came free and shot a quick shot against goal 69 minutes in the game, fortunately Dênis Rezende had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Anselmo de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Rezende having to interfere. Dênis Rezende made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Guilherme Fantini sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Arrinha's Dênis Rezende threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo de Almeida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edmundo Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Seco having to interfere. Ubirataia SS's Dênis Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Ubirataia SS from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dênis Rezende was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
