José Carlos Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Antunes in the 11th minute of the match. Dênis Rezende was a little too slow when Frédson Neves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. José Carlos Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dênis Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to TMG Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. José Pedro de Carvalho hit a great ball. Umberto Recife was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Severino Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ubirataia SS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Umberto Recife hit a great ball. TMG Futebol Clube's José Carlos Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Antunes in the 36th minute of play. Jefferson do Vale's late challenge caught a Ubirataia SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jefferson do Vale helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Jefferson do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in TMG Futebol Clube's zone, Edmundo Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Loureiro came out of the goal and Edmundo Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. José Carlos Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes TMG Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Germano Vargas. Edmundo Campidelis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 58th playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Pedro de Carvalho during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Ubirataia SS got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Gerber. In the 64th minute, Frédson Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67thth minute of the game Frédson Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ubirataia SS's Dênis Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Frédson Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the game, TMG Futebol Clube's Severino Couto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dênis Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Frédson Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dênis Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Ubirataia SS's Zézinho Campidelis suffered a sore foot after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 90 minutes, Germano Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TMG Futebol Clube and the Ubirataia SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, TMG Futebol Clube's Germano Vargas got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Frédson Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dênis Rezende was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. If Ronaldão Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TMG Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
