Ancori EC's Aníbal Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Azevedo in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ancori EC's José Teixeira got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 10th match minute, Ancori EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. If Oséias Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Ancori EC's Leopoldo Campidelis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílton Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vítor Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annitapolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Gilvan Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ancori EC's Yan Matos tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 36 minutes in the game, Leopoldo Campidelis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amílton Souto having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Annitapolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernão Terra to maneuver through the defense. Richard Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Campidelis in the 41st minute of play forced Annitapolis's goalkeeper Amílton Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Amílton Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Campidelis was the one to do the kick off. Annitapolis's Amílton Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Campidelis in the 52nd minute of play. Amílton Souto came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Ancori EC's Marcinho Hames. But to his dismay, Marcinho Hames quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancori EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Ancori EC got a freekick which was hit by José Teixeira. Oséias Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Aníbal Medeiros made a huge save. Amílton Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Campidelis in the 67th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Claudinei Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Annitapolis's Oséias Gomes in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ancori EC's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the game, Fernão Terra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aníbal Medeiros. Fernão Terra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Oséias Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancori EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílton Souto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Aníbal Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Gomes in the 86th minute of the match. Richard Trigo's late challenge caught a Annitapolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Richard Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
