In the 28th minute of the match, Wellington das Neves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diego Zanette saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Erivaldo Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Erivaldo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Meirelles in the 35th minute of play forced Império Galático's goalkeeper Anísio Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Império Galático's Norberto Netto got a free kick in the 37th minute. Albertinho Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Eurico Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute Erivaldo Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eurico Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Império Galático's goalkeeper Anísio Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Meirelles. In the 62nd match minute, Império Galático was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Martins to maneuver through the defense. Betinho Pernambucano spun around in front of the goal 67 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s goal. After 72 played minutes Galáticos Paulista S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Salles. Luiz Gustavo Mattos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diego Zanette. Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Wellington das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Varela's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Anísio Mota skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Ceresso in the 84th minute of play forced Império Galático's goalkeeper Anísio Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo Mattos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Império Galático's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galáticos Paulista S.C. the free kick. In the 85th minute, one of Império Galático:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Império Galático. A collision led to Galáticos Paulista S.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. José Pedro Santos hit a great ball. Wellington das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Varela's late challenge caught a Império Galático's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastião Varela helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastião Varela hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Galáticos Paulista S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wellington das Neves came free, but Diego Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
