In the 10th minute Rafa de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Alexsandro Recife in the 13th minute really tested Toninho Koehler's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Oséas de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Toninho Koehler made a huge save. If Romeu Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Oséas de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toninho Koehler, 1-0. If Olívio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafa de Mendonça in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamim Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute, Rafa de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute Olívio Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joazeirinho's Falcão de Andrade got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Falcão de Andrade off the ground. After a rather tough play, Joazeirinho's Falcão de Andrade got a free kick in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taguaracu reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Oséas de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joazeirinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséas de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 63 minutes, José Pedro Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joazeirinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pedro Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
