Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edmílson Saldanha made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Digo do Valle in the 3rd minute of play forced Pongai's goalkeeper Valdemar Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 played minutes Gurijuba got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Faustino. Alexsandro Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Frank de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Valadares in the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Deivid Pirani fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Valdemar Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Digo do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes, Rafa Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurijuba and the Pongai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, Rafa Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pongai's goalkeeper Valdemar Cerezo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deivid Pirani got free with Valdemar Cerezo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmílson Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Faustino hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pongai's Paulão Carioca tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Deivid Pirani took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdemar Cerezo. Valdemar Cerezo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Pongai's goal looked a bit too open when Digo do Valle came free, but Valdemar Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Digo do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gurijuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Digo do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmílson Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Frank de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pongai. If Hílton Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A long shot from Paulão Carioca in the 64th minute of play was well struck, but Frank de Amaral made a really good save at the right post. Gurijuba's Frank de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Saldanha in the 67th minute of play. When Digo do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gurijuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Digo do Valle couldn't finish the play. When Arthur da Costa fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pongai's protests and gave Arthur da Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Deivid Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Deivid Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gurijuba's Frank de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Saldanha in the 85th minute of play. Valdemar Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Digo do Valle in the 86th minute of the match. Pongai's Alexsandro Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gurijuba's Rafa Diniz got a free kick in the 89th minute. Pongai's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
