Fred Maia started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Monlevade's Fred Maia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Deivid Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Matheus Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gurijuba's Deivid Pirani in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monlevade's goalie prevented a goal. Jaime Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Frank de Amaral made a huge save. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gurijuba's goalkeeper Frank de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monlevade's Matheus Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Pirani in the 19th minute of play. Fred Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank de Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Frank de Amaral made a huge save. Fred Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank de Amaral having to interfere. If Jaime Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Monlevade's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Pirani came free, but Matheus Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Barros struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Frank de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monlevade. Alexandre de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jaime Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Frank de Amaral made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Jaime Barros got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fred Maia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Digo do Valle was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Deivid Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Frank de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matheus Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Deivid Pirani sent off a good shot on target. Digo do Valle struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Matheus Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gurijuba. In the 81st minute of the match Manolo Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matheus Vasconcelos skillfully saved the ball. Monlevade's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
